Caroline Halford is Development Director for Medical Education at Springer Healthcare, part of the Springer Nature group. Her key focus is innovative and digestible medical education to reach, engage, and change clinical practice. Caroline’s main passion is monitoring trends in research publishing for today’s digital world. During her 14-year career at Springer, Caroline has played a key role at Adis, assisting in the launch of the popular open access Adis Rapid+ journal series. She also helped facilitate the launch of Adis’s peer-reviewed plain-language summaries and digital enhancements (designed to increase accessibility of content). Before joining the world of scientific publishing, Caroline spent 8 years working in medical communications in various editorial and project management roles. She has a BA in TV & Radio from the University of Salford, and a BSc in Social Sciences from the Open University.
